WE PLEDGE TO INVEST OUR $600 TAX REBATE IN THE FUTURE OF OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS
A group of Saint Louis Public School parents, teachers, staff and elected board members invite you to join a CAMPAIGN TO INVEST IN THE FUTURE OF OUR COMMUNITY.
Many of us will be receiving a $600 tax rebate from the federal government in May. Rather than spending it to "stimulate the economy," we're urging you to REINVEST YOUR REBATE in the future of our schools. Help stimulate the growth of our public schools!
At its February 12th meeting, the elected board of the Saint Louis Public Schools voted to mount an appeal in its case against the state of Missouri. THEY NEED OUR SUPPORT! The campaign we are launching today is asking all residents of the City of Saint Louis and other supporters of PUBLIC EDUCATION in Saint Louis to pledge to invest as much of YOUR $600 TAX REBATE as you can in the future of our community.
The appeal is just one step in an ongoing campaign to restore the St. Louis Public Schools to the voters of the City. Reinvesting your tax rebate today will allow us to build a fund to support our efforts in the months and years to come.
Public education is under assault, but EACH OF US can come to its defense by making a PLEDGE TO INVEST.

When tax rebates are distributed in May, we will contact you so that you can make your contribution to SAVE OUR CHILDRENS' EDUCATION, the group that raised the funds for the legal challenge to the state of Missouri and who will be funding the appeal.
OUR IMMEDIATE GOAL: 100 PLEDGES BY APRIL 1
Our immediate goal is to have 100 PEOPLE make a pledge by April 1 to invest at least a portion of their 2008 tax rebate in the future of our St. Louis public schools. Make your pledge today so that we can count you among the first 100!
We will be at the meeting of the Special Administrative Board on February 28 to let the SAB know that the appeal has been launched and is moving forward!
